Ted T. Cable

TED T. CABLE is the author of 15 books and more than 250 articles on nature conservation, heritage interpretation, and travel. He is an award-winning leader in environmental education and interpretation in the United States. He has traveled to all 50 states and over 50 countries. Dr. Cable has consulted on conservation projects in more than 25 states, has designed several nature parks and preserves, and has worked extensively on conservation and ecotourism projects in Latin America and West Africa. Currently he is a professor of Heritage Interpretation at Kansas State University. He is a Founder and Fellow of the National Association for Interpretation and in addition to numerous university awards he has been honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, adn Clemson University for outstanding teaching in the field of environmental education and heritage interpretation. He received the Legend Award from the American Academy of Park and Recreation Administrators and Lifetime Achievement Awards from Association of Missouri Interpreters and Purdue University.
