James Levine, Ph.D., LICSW is the founder and former director of a comprehensive behavioral health organization that offers outpatient therapy, a full array of psychological evaluations, and clinical consultation/professional development to schools and other public agencies. A licensed clinician since 1987, he has consulted to hundreds of schools, provided trainings nationwide, and written two full-length books as well as various op-ed pieces and professional articles. His most recent book, Children Gripped by Trauma," first issued in hardcover in 2021, has just been published in paperback by Bloomsbury. His first book, "Learning from Behavior," was published in hardcover, paperback and international editions. Dr. Levine's primary clinical interest lies in the intersection of trauma, emotion, behavior, and learning.
