Robert Wood

Robert Wood grew up in Derby, England, during the 1970s and 80s—the era that inspired the world of Kenny the Getaway Driver.

His stories are rooted in real places, real characters, and working-class life in Britain, at a time when the rules were often made on the streets rather than in Parliament.

He lives in the East Midlands with his wife and children.

Robert has been living with stage four medullary thyroid cancer for the past seven years. Through it all, he continues to write, drawing on his experiences and imagination to bring his stories to life.

When he’s not writing, he enjoys music and building custom motorcycles.
