Richard J. Bauer

Richard J. Bauer, Jr. is Professor of Finance at the Bill Greehey School of Business in San Antonio, Texas. He holds both the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CMT (Chartered Market Technician) charters. In 2011, Bauer received the Market Technicians Associations' Charles Dow Award for excellence and creativity in technical analysis. He has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences and has published articles in a number of publications including Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Technical Analysis, and Active Trader Magazine. He is also a past president of the CFA Society of San Antonio. He resides in San Antonio, TX, with his wife, Julie Dahlquist, and their two children, Katherine and Sepp.
