Ethlie Ann Vare

Award-winning author, journalist and screenwriter Ethlie Ann Vare started her writing life as a rock music journalist, corresponding for Billboard, Daily Variety, the Hollywood Reporter and others, and editing the award-winning ROCK Magazine. She has written biographies of cultural icons ranging from Frank Sinatra and Judy Garland to Ozzy Osbourne and Stevie Nicks, and co-authored the acclaimed women's histories MOTHERS OF INVENTION and PATENTLY FEMALE. Both of these were American Library Award winners. She has written television shows including Andromeda, CSI, Silk Stalkings and Renegade, and appeared regularly on E! Entertainment Television.

Her last book was LOVE ADDICT: Sex, Romance and Other Dangerous Drugs, a funny and revelatory volume about addiction and recovery. It could not be further in subject and tone from her newest, WOOF!, a picture book about a girl who rescues a “death row doggie” who is actually a wolf, mistaken for a dog. Or maybe he’s a dog who just thinks he’s a wolf.

Look for her biographies of Stevie Nicks and Ozzy Osbourne to become available in Kindle Books in 2024.
