M.C. Mirow

M.C. Mirow is a founding faculty member of the Florida International University College of Law, Miami, Florida. He has previously served as a Fulbright U.S. Visiting Scholar in Chile, a Visiting Professor of Law at Los Andes University in Colombia, a Visiting Professor and Mentschikoff Fellow at the University of Miami, a Kelley Lecturer at Davidson College, and a Golieb Fellow at NYU. Mirow is on the Board of Editors of the Law and History Review and has served on the Advisory Board of the American Journal of Legal History. He serves as a co-editor of the series Studies in the History of Private Law (Brill/Nijhoff). He is a member of the Florida bar and a Corresponding Member of the Instituto de Investigaciones de Historia del Derecho in Buenos Aires. In 2014, he received the Golden Quill Award from the Florida Historical Society for the best article published on Florida history, a study of colonial Florida's constitutional history. He has been elected a MacCormick Fellow for 2016 at the University of Edinburgh School of Law. He holds a JD from Cornell Law School and PhDs in legal history from Cambridge and Leiden Universities.
