David C. Stuart

Mists of time: tiny boy buys his first cactus plant from a local florist, and is entranced. Becomes botanist. Becomes gardener. Becomes nurseryman, specialising in old fashioned flowers. Becomes garden writer. Becomes newspaper columnist. Lived in sequence of houses dating from 1450 to 1824, currently in a charmer of 1795 the Scottish borders. Busy republishing some out-of-print book amongst the 15 he's written. New books on the stocks too. DANGEROUS GARDEN turned out to be the best, was reviewed world wide, and a major US magazine listed it as one of the 10 best popular science book published that year.

Since then, he's returned to an early passion - painting, though that now includes drypoints, etchings, silk screen printing and more. He's now had three successful invited one-man shows, the most recent at the Townhouse Gallery, Spitalfields, London.

With the current epidemic, he finds that the immediate future lies with sales over the web. He intends to add DANGEROUS GARDEN, and several of his other books to his Kindle works. He is selling his prints through both the London gallery and his webshop. Paintings through the London gallery, and others via the web through Saatchiarts.
