David Gibson

David Gibson (1966 - ) was born and bred in Darlington, North East England, and from an early age developed a love for Newcastle United Football Club (which has brought unremitting disappointment though this has helped to develop the resilience necessary for writing and publishing).

He writes from a rich background of academic study, practical church ministry and leadership in business. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Divinity from London University and a post graduate Masters in Theology from Durham University. After serving in pastoral ministry for a decade, David began writing in fulfillment of a long held sense of calling.

His first published work, Rediscovering Jesus, combines a passionate belief in the truth of the Gospels and a conviction that religious imagery has masked the true earthy, combative and passionate character of Jesus.

After a visit to Yad Vashem in Jerusalem, he was horrified to be confronted by the depth of European anti-Semitism, including from Britain, which had culminated in the Holocaust. This experience provided the inspiration for 'Israel and the British Empire' which recounts the events leading to the rebirth of Israel in fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

He is married to Beccy, and together they have raised three wonderful children, Emily, Anna and Joel.
