Robin D. Stone

Psychotherapist, coach, and author ROBIN D. STONE runs Muse & Grace, her private practice in Manhattan. A licensed Mental Health Counselor, Stone holds a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a Master’s in Health Arts & Sciences from Goddard College in Vermont. As a poetry therapist, she uses expressive arts to build community and support corporate partners, to help clients navigate trauma, grief, loss, and stress, and to strengthen relationship dynamics within couples and families.

Stone has written and edited about health, food and nutrition for more than 25 years. After completing her undergraduate degree in journalism at Michigan State University, she enjoyed a successful career as an editor and writer at several newspapers and magazines including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Detroit Free Press, the Oakland Press in Pontiac, Michigan, and Essence, Heart & Soul and Health magazines. Online, she has written for AARP's SistersLetter and TheRoot. Her blog, “The Color of Wellness,” appears on PsychologyToday.

A Detroit native, she lives in New York City and northern New Jersey with her husband, Rodney Pope. Together they are parents of four children - two adults, and two teens.
