Mark Sandle

Mark grew up in England and now lives and works in Canada. He has written extensively about Soviet history and communism, and is interested in ideas and their impact in history. He is currently working on a history of post-war Moldova. In 2007 he was awarded a prestigious National Teacher Fellowship award in the UK. His research has meant a lot of travelling in Russia, Ukraine and Moldova. This has led to some interesting moments, including a visit to Transnistria and also first hand experience of the revolution in Moldova in 2009.
