Robert Moore

Retired United States Marshal Robert Moore, a President Clinton appointee, was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi in 1943 on a 40 acre farm. Following three year of military service, he migrated to Rockford, Illinois in 1965 with a high school education and 20 dollars. With a Masters Degree he has served the nation as a Deputy Chief of Police, United States Marshal and Chief of Jackson Mississippi in his home state. As a police writer he has written articles for several police magazines and a website. His first book, "The Presidents Men: Black United States Marshals in America," depicts the appointment of black Marshals by Republican and Democratic Presidents. Robert has received two distinguished service awards and the FBI Directors Community Leadership awards while serving this nation as a U.S. Marshal.
