Stefan Arvidsson

Stefan Arvidsson is professor in the history of religions at Linnĉus University, Sweden. His main research intererst concerns the cultural history of modern ideologies. His is the author of Aryan idols: Indo-European mythology as ideology and science (University of Chicago press, 2006; 2. ed. Motilal Banarsidass, 2025), Socialist style and mythology: socialist idealism, 1871-1914 (2017), Religion and politics under capitalism: a humanistic approach to the terminology (2019), Secularist, Religious, and Scientific Socialism: Red faith I (2025) and co-editor of Socialist imaginations: utopias, myths, and the masses (2019).
