Sharon Baldacci

Sharon Baldacci grew up in Richmond, Virginia and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1979 with a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications.

Journalism was the passion of her life and the only career she ever wanted. She worked part-time for a daily and then a weekly for several years. The first symptoms of multiple sclerosis started in 1981.

By 1985 the illness progressed so she was no longer able to chase after news stories, and turned to fiction, in part because her brother David let her read his first novel that would become Absolute Power.

Years of writing ‘really bad fiction” finally culminated in A Sundog Moment: A Novel of Hope which resonates with the 75% of all Americans who are touched directly or indirectly by a chronic illness.
