Lawrence D. Robbins

Lawrence Robbins, M.D., is a neurologist, headache specialist, and psychopharmacologist. Lawrence has a lifelong interest in headache, human evolution, and evolutionary medicine. He brings a neurol-ogist’s perspective to the fascinating question of how ancient genes and ancient bodies still shape our health today.

He is a professor of neurology (Rosalind Franklin School of Med-icine near Chicago) and a professor of research. Lawrence is also an (honorary) professor of neurology at the University Hospital in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He has established free clinics in Honduras and teaches the neurology and psychiatry residents both in Honduras and in the U.S. Lawrence was the vice president of the World Headache Society. He has won various clinical and teaching awards.

Dr. Robbins has published a number of books, primarily on headache, neurology, and psychia-try. The last 2 are on Amazon: Clinical Pearls, 2nd edition, and Neurology and Psychiatry (out in English and Spanish). He has contributed to 418 abstracts or articles, mostly on headache.
