With a degree in Ancient History and Archaeology, I suppose my life had to involve lots of history. I began my writing career at university and I specialized in cults, secret societies and religions. HP Lovecraft may have had a hand in that.

Today I carry out historical research and reconstruction and write books on Roman military history.
