Nancy J. Jones

Nancy J. Jones is a fiction writer with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She published the novel, Molly, through Crown Publishing, an imprint of Random House. The novel is inspired by Vladamir Nabokov's Lolita.

She wrote much of The Suicide Club with the aid of a fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council. An earlier version of the prologue appeared as a short story in Ms. magazine.

Nancy also was the editor and organizer of Dressage for the Not-So-Perfect Horse by Janet Foy which was published by Trafalgar Square Press.

Previously, she was a newspaper reporter and editor, speechwriter, communications professional, and college English and Women's Studies professor.

She has been a "horse crazy girl" her entire life, has been owned by four Cardigan Welsh Corgis, and currently lives with and adores her sassy tortie cat Maggie.
