Steven E. Sanderson

Steven Sanderson has worked and traveled widely as a scholar of Latin America and nonprofit executive. He is the author of several academic books and articles about Latin American political economy and has served on boards of organizations devoted to conservation and poverty alleviation. Since the 1960s, when not working in Brazil or Mexico or New York, he has spent over thirty years living in the American South. His favorite activities are those that find him in the piney woods, learning from people who know wild nature; or in the kitchen making pasta or developing recipes for wild game. He lives on an island near Savannah with his wife and dog. His newest novel is Epitaph for Sorrows (2021), set in the Argentina of Juan Domingo Perón. Work-in-progress, a saga set in 19th-century Tierra del Fuego.
