Daniel Beaver

Daniel Beaver, M.S. a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, started his private practice in 1973 in Walnut Creek, CA, and continues it today. He also co‐founded Relationship

Counseling Center of Walnut Creek in 1974. Dan is currently an instructor at Los

Medanos College where he teaches Psychology of Human Sexuality. He has also been a

faculty member at J.F.K. University, and CSU East Bay, and Diablo Valley College. Dan is

a popular speaker and lecturer for higher education, business, and community groups.

Dan is the author of three books, Learning to Love Yourself, Creating the Intimate Connection, The Basics to Emotional Intimacy, and More Than Just Sex.

Dan earned an M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California State University, East Bay

and a B.A. in Psychology at University of California, Berkeley. He received specialized

training in Masters and Johnson style sex therapy and has practiced as a marriage and family therapist for over forty-five years.
