From October 2022, I am the director of the Radical Humanities Laboratory at University College Cork, Republic of Ireland. Previously, I directed the Bauman Institute at the University of Leeds, was Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po, Paris and UCLA, and have also worked at Aarhus University, the University of Sussex, the University of Utrecht, and Louvain-la-Neuve. My latest book is a work in political theory, THE INTEGRATION NATION : IMMIGRATION AND COLONIAL POWER IN LIBERAL DEMOCRACIES, published with Polity in 2022. Prior to that, IMMIGRATION, INTEGRATION AND MOBILITY (2015) is a collection of essays in migration and mobility studies from 1998 to 2014. I have also published widely on Japanese contemporary art and society, including BEFORE AND AFTER SUPERFLAT (2012), a short history of the art scene there since 1990. Loads more information about me and links to my writings on international migration, multiculturalism, global cities, art and architecture, and "post growth" societies, on my website: http://www.adrianfavell.com
