Born talking – so my mum said! – I’ve been telling stories ever since. For 40 years I’ve written books for children, inspired by my kids and grandkids and young readers in schools - and still do. But now I write for adults too. My first novel The Widows’ Wine Club, a later-in-life comic romance came out in 2023 and sales of the series have topped 100,000.

Right from the start readers loved sweary Viv, straight-laced Janet, and glamorous Zelda — three widows who become wine-loving friends. Widows on the Wine Path followed, then Widows Waive the Rules and number four, The Widows' Book Club is out on February 11 2026, available for pre-order from Amazon now! Read or listen to any or all of them for an uplifting heart-warming story about women's friendship and the ups and downs of love in later life.

I still write for children — Cheeky Chick (Boxer Books) and Poonami came out in 2024 - and classics like Big Red Bath, Class Two at the Zoo, and my Time Travelling Cat series remain firm favourites.
