Sharon Mignerey

I came out of the womb telling stories, and as soon as I discovered that spelling words could be arranged into stories, I became a writer at the ripe age of six with a ten sentence short-short story based on the spelling words for that week. Publication took longer, a lot longer. Romance and romantic suspense are my favorite stories to read, so it stands to reason, that's what I'd be drawn to write. I love reading and writing romance because these are stories of women who are the heroes of their own story. Generally, the hero complicates her life immeasurably, which means he needs to prove he is worthy of her. And, in romantic suspense, what could be more compelling than couples who are willing risk everything for each other?

After spending many years dividing my time between my beloved home in Colorado and the Texas Gulf Coast, I have turned home to Colorado. The view out my office window is a gorgeous mountain valley. I count my blessings, and I am so grateful to be back.
