John Astrop

John is an artist, author, illustrator, musician and astrologer. During the 60s and early 70s he ran a hotshop design group with Eric Hill (Spot the Dog) called Astrop/Hill Associates. Since then he has written and illustrated over two hundred children's books, during the last 30 years mostly in the early learning area of children's books. Throughout this period he has collaborated with teachers, educationalists and schools to produce material that assists an easy flow into the education system when the child is ready. He has published with major publishers throughout the world. Lives in a the South of England by the sea. Is married to painter Caroline Smith a prolific and talented artist, author and illustrator. Her website is at www.ccsmith.eu. In 1994 wrote Little Stars, twelve small illustrated books for parents that presented the astrology of the child from birth to the first days at school. These sold in 22 countries.
