Dan W. Patterson

Dan Patterson was born in Pine, Arizona, December, 1930. He was a US Navy submariner for five years, and afterwards obtained the following degrees: BS Mathematics, U. of Arizona, MS Systems Engineering, U. of Pennsylvania, PhD Math Statistics, Rutgers U. He was employed at Bell Telephone Labs, NJ, Patterson Smith, Inc, NJ, head consultant to the Imperial Iranian Navy Automation Program, Tehran Iran, Director of Kuwait Computer Systems, Kuwait, and as a professor of Computer Science at U. of Texas and National U. of Singapore. He has enjoyed multiple careers in multiple countries and is a devoted proponent of artificial intelligence with emphasis on neural network systems. Dan is still an active learner at 89 and enjoying life to the fullest in sunny Arizona.
