Robert Richardson

A long-time newspaper journalist, Robert Richardson began his writing career with The Latimer Mercy – later retitled An Act of Evil – which won the UK Crime Writers’ Association Dagger for the year’s best first crime novel. Five more books featuring Gus Maltravers (“a true original” according to PD James) and his partner, actress Tess Davy, followed before turning to psychological novels with The Hand of Strange Children – shortlisted for the CWA Gold Dagger – Significant Others and Victims. He has twice been chairman of the association, and a judge for its non-fiction dagger award.
