Judith Emlyn Johnson

Judith E. Johnson, poet, fiction-writer, performance artist, and editor, is the author of eight poetry books, the most recent of which are Cities of Mathematics and Desire and The Ice Lizard (Sheep Meadow Press, 2005 and 1992), and the first of which was Uranium Poems, which won the 1969 Yale Series of Younger Poets Prize. Her 1970 short fiction collection, The Life of Riot, was published by Atheneum, and has now been reissued as The Fourth Annual Greater New York Revolving Door Crisis, by FictionXPress. Her more recent short fiction has won a Playboy Fiction Prize and Nimrod International’s Katherine Anne Porter Short Fiction Prize.
