My literary fiction and poetry explores the deepest questions of existence—life, death, love, truth, and morality—through the beguiling engine of storytelling: character, dialogue, jeopardy, and humour. I was born in India. Social worker, teacher, Research Professor and now a writer of fiction: novels, poetry and plays.

I live in the Pyrenees in France. I have travelled and worked in over twenty countries, including Uzbekistan, Russia, Bugaria, Canada and much of western Europe. These experiences have fed into my prose.

My ideology is a humanitarian regard for equality, fairness and the development of a critical consciousness in all of us. I am an agnostic with perennial interest in morality, religion, spirituality and the big questions. I hope you will find my books entertaining, unputdownable, satisfying and challenging in that the questions they raise reverberate in the mind.

I don't constrain my writing to one genre. You will find examples of social, historical, science, comic and horror fiction on this site as I upload my oeuvre. But, to give you a flavour - why not read The Fortune Trader of Samarkand which is a collection of thirty very brief short stories from all the genres I mention above!
