Dan Rebellato

Dan Rebellato is a playwright and academic. His stage plays include Static, Here's What I Did With My Body One Day, Chekhov in Hell, Mile End, Beachy Head, Theatremorphosis, and Outright Terror Bold and Brilliant. His work for radio includes Emily Rising, Cavalry, My Life Is a Series of People Saying Goodbye, Negative Signs of Progress, You & Me, 7 Ghosts, and adaptations of The Midwich Cuckoos, Dead Souls and Girlfriend in a Coma. He was lead writer of Radio 4's epic 27-episode adaptation of Émile Zola's twenty 'Rougon-Macquart' novels which won BBC Audio Award for Best Drama Production in 2016 and Best Adaptation in 2017. He is also Professor of Contemporary Theatre at Royal Holloway University of London. Books include 1956 and All That, Theatre & Globalization, Contemporary European Theatre Directors, Contemporary European Playwrights, Playwriting. He lives in London.
