D. (Donald) Bruce Marshall, (1931- )Professor (emeritus) of Government and International Studies, University of South Carolina. A graduate of Yale College, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques, Paris and Yale University (PhD),taught international politics and political science at Ohio State University and Smith College before joining the faculty at the University of South Carolina. Main areas of study are European politics, particularly in France and Germany,with a focus on regional security problems, development of the European Union and Franco-American relations. Post-retirement he has taught American Studies classes at the University of Heidelberg and given occasional lectures on French and American political problems.
