Marilyn Gould

Marilyn Amster Gould grew up surrounded by storytellers. She remembers her family at the dinner table each trying to outdo the other in relating colorful anecdotes; holiday get-togethers when they laughed until they cried retelling the same old stories--old but not too old to be repeated one more time; and she recalls being "scared stiff" but "proud as punch" to be included by her brother and his buddies as one of the "guys" when they sat around the campfire telling horror stories with flashlights under their chins to make them look ghostly. It's no wonder she became a storyteller. Her first books were written for children--twenty-two published--while SON OF A SON: 'Fathers and Sons Unconditional love and Unintentional Misunderstandings,' a historical novel, was simmering on the back burner taking ten years of research and writing to complete. She and her late husband, Paul, were married six months short of sixty-two years, have three children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Marilyn lives in Newport Beach, California with her border collie-terrier, Hoagy.
