Henry Simpson

Henry Simpson is the author of several novels, short stories, and technical works. His fiction is character-based and often involves abuse of power, greed, revenge, or flimflammery. Writers whose fiction he admires include Truman Capote, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Flannery O’Connor, Alice Munro, John Cheever, Patricia Highsmith, Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett, and Elmore Leonard. He studied engineering, English, and Psychology, and holds a UCSB Ph.D. He spent his career, variously, as an engineer, research psychologist, and writer. He lives in Monterey, California.
