Gail E. Myers
Gail Myers while promoting this book "Miracle Every March" works on his personal memoirs for family of 4 children, 3 grandkids,1 great-great for his 90th birthday next March.
He's co-author of four major college textbooks in human behavior, over sixty freelance articles, photos from WW-II YANK magazine assignments and many freelance images.
Years in higher education occupied him teaching and deaning and presidenting -- variously in Iowa, Colorado, Illinois, Pennsylvania, then in 1986 became professor emeritus from Trinity U (TX). He began a new career consulting in organizational behavior, advising professions, corporations, and institutions.
Growing up in small-town South Dakota in high school he played tenor sax in 7-piece territory dance-band to support himself and his widowed mother. He had nearly 2 years attending SD State (Brookings) before enlisting and two of his three-year WW-II duty was as Army Air Corps clerk and statistician in the Pacific. GI Bill then earned him journalism BA and MA from Univ of Iowa. Later did a PhD in human communication at Univ of Denver.
Moved to Oregon over a decade ago to reunite with a dear friend from SD college days. Sharing talents and love of "the old songs", she plays piano and he honks C-melody sax doing regular gigs of musical memories for senior centers around the Rogue Valley hoping to make life happier for appreciative fellow oldsters.
