Language, the Yiddish language, and India have been my chief interests for many years. I started out in mathematics, from there went to German literature, medieval studies, and formal linguistics. Currently I write about Yiddish and India as well as language and politics. I am excessively devoted to dogs and cooking, mostly Cajun and Indian.
