I'm Chief Scientist at Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies at University of Cambridge and I have spent a career in developing risk models for businesses to assess and manage their risks. I also create new analytics for emerging risks for Risk Management Solutions, the leading provider of natural catastrophe models.

My books try to explain complex risks in an accessible way for business managers and decision-makers. I think it is important to link policy with how people behave and perceive risk. Understanding risk is the first step to managing it successfully.
