Henry E. Klugh

I am a retired college professor. I was trained as an experimental psychologist (Pitt PhD 1955); as my wife says I don't do people I just do rats and numbers. My first books were college texts in inferential statistics. Normal people don't read that sort of stuff for pleasure. Indeed, I was never asked by my college to do a reading from any of my statistics books. Maybe I should render them into blank verse.

Now I write for fun. "The O'Kane Chronicles," "Harry O," and the just released "Fenstermachers" are three of my novels. I'm a frustrated actor as are most college professors. When you write a novel you create characters and you create their dialog. You must bring the character to life just as you would on stage. The nice part is that if the character in your book is wooden, or doesn't work, you can revise it. On stage, if you flop you flop!

I live in northern Michigan with my wife, a 9 lb cat and a 120 lb Bernese Mt. Dog. The back covers of my essay collections: "A Double Dozen and Six," "More of the Same," and "Yet Again..." have more personal information about me if you're interested.
