Robyn Ferrell

Robyn Ferrell is an Australian writer and philosopher. She is the author of several books of philosophy and a book of creative non-fiction, The Real Desire, which was shortlisted for the NSW Premiers Award in 2005.

'I like to write in the space between ideas and feelings. Sometimes this becomes philosophy, sometimes creative nonfiction. More often than not, these days, I'm using my own photos to accompany my writing.'

Robyn Ferrell is an honorary professor at the University of Sydney in the Gender and Cultural Studies Department. She trained as a journalist on the Sydney Morning Herald before completing a PhD on philosophy and literature and taking up academic teaching positions at Macquarie University, University of Tasmania and University of Melbourne.

Robyn is currently working on a novel, and a new book of creative nonfiction.
