Ramendra Kumar

RESUME

Ramendra Kumar (Ramen) is an award-winning author, storyteller and TEDx speaker. He has written 55 books, and his work has been translated into 33 Indian and international languages. He has received several national awards for children’s literature, and his books have sold over 1.5 million copies through the National Book Trust alone.

He has been a jury member for The Times of India Women AutHer Awards, a mentor with the Scholastic Writers Academy, and was named Author and Storyteller of the Year by Talking Stories, London. In 2025, he won the Mr India Cancer Warrior crown at a unique pageant for cancer survivors held in Delhi.

His battle with cancer touched millions and stands as a testament to his resilience, courage and humour. An engineer with an MBA, he left his position as General Manager and Chief of Corporate Communications at SAIL to pursue his passion for writing and storytelling.
