Ali Mehdi

Ali was born in the historical city of Lucknow (India). After his school education, he went to the university town of Aligarh (India) for his undergraduate studies, and then to the environmental and political-cultural capitals of Germany (Freiburg and Berlin) for his MA and PhD.

As a Senior Fellow at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) in New Delhi, Ali continues to write papers, books and reports of specialist and general interest. He also occasionally writes columns in newspapers like The Times of India, The Hindu, The Economic Times, The Financial Express and Business Standard.
