R. Keith Sawyer

Dr. Keith Sawyer is one of the world's leading scientific experts on creativity, improvisation, and learning. He's published 20 books, including the best-sellers GROUP GENIUS and ZIG ZAG, and his latest book, LEARNING TO SEE. In his first job after graduating from MIT, he designed videogames for Atari. He then worked for 6 years as an artificial intelligence software developer and consultant in Boston and New York, advising large corporations on the strategic use of AI. He's a jazz pianist and has performed with several improv theater groups in Chicago. He draws on these experiences in his research and books.

Dr. Sawyer is the Morgan Distinguished Professor in Educational Innovations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
