I am an author, a sculptor and a teacher. My NEW BOOKS are at AMAZON (in books) Digging Up Mr. Posey, Dating Dracula Jr., Manners for Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves and Assorted Monsters, and Pride and Prejudice and the Daughters Grimm. I have also written a short story, a lunch read called The Grimm Brothers Stake-Mad Sister.

My three other books, The Remarkable Miss Frankenstein, The Reluctant Miss Van Helsing and The Reinvented Miss Bluebeard are now being published by Boroughs Publishing.

The Remarkable Miss Frankenstein was born one night when I asked, "What if Victor Frankenstein had a niece?" The answer came to me in a blinding flash. She'd be quirky, curious, intelligent and have a penchant for misadventures and monsters. The Reluctant Miss Van Helsing came to me when I wondered if Buffy had ever hated spiders. My vampire slayer doesn't like to get dirty and cemeteries are just filled with dirt, while blood makes her queasy. THen there is Eve Bluebeard who had a wide variety of problems. First with her lineage...her father is a notorious pirate and a womanizer. Eve's had half a dozen step-mothers. Not to mention, she runs an insane asylum for supernatural creatures. Oh it's bedlam at its finest and most funniest.

I started writing when I was in the third grade. In fourth grade my teacher read my scary stories to the class and told my mom I would be a writer. By middle school I was writing poetry (still do today). In 2005 my first novel, The Remarkable Miss Frankenstein, was picked as Best Historical Fiction and nominated for Best First Novel. My second book, The Reluctant Miss Van Helsing, was nominated for Most Innovative Novel. My fourth book, The Reinvented Miss Bluebeard, was nominated for Best Paranormal Romance for the year. My sixth book, The Daughters Grimm, was given a great blog review by one of Publisher's weekly prime bloggers. I'm proud of this because I write odd, quirky, funny, scary, romantic paranormal romance. It's not serious or dark, just funny and odd and sometimes profoundly sweet. Since humor is subjective...well some might laugh out loud at my books and others might want to conk me on the head. If you are looking for historical accuracy don't peek in my books. It's ironic, since I teach history.
