Colin Camerer

Colin Camerer is the Robert Kirby Professor of Behavioral Economics at Caltech. He was educated at Johns Hopkins (BA) and the University of Chicago (MBA, PhD). His research in behavioral economics uses experimental and neuroscientific measures of in simple choices, game theory, and market trading. Prof Camerer also has studied field data about reference-dependence in taxi and rideshare driver work, reaction of horse racing bettors to large bets, and how both similarity and studio marketing decisions are associated with movie box office grosses neural determinants of asset price bubbles. He received a MacArthur Foundation genius Fellowship (2013) and an honorary doctorate from the Stockholm School of Economics (2022).
