Jon Berkeley

Jon Berkeley was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1962, and studied fine art at the National College of Art and Design. Since graduating in 1983 he has enjoyed a peripatetic career as a freelance illustrator and writer in Dublin, London, Sydney and Hong Kong. He now works in Barcelona, where he lives with his wife and five children, and looks forward to a day when he might have time to do more travelling!

Jon has illustrated for many major publications around the world, including Time, The Washington Post, The Economist, The Sunday Tribune, The South China Morning Post, The Irish Times, Asiaweek, Wirtschaftswoche, and El Tiempo. He has illustrated numerous book covers for various publishing houses, as well as books on subjects as diverse as cookery and quotations. His work for advertising and design has won awards from the 4A's (Hong Kong), The ICAD in Ireland, and the Society of Newspaper Design in the US.
