Barbara Fine Clouse

Barbara Clouse is a seasoned writing instructor who has taught all levels of college writing, first at Youngstown State University in northeastern Ohio and then at Slippery Rock University in western Pennsylvania. She has written many composition textbooks, including THE STUDENT WRITER: EDITOR AND CRITIC, PATTERNS FOR A PURPOSE: A RHETORICAL READER, A TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE FOR WRITERS: STRATEGIES AND PROCESS, PROGRESSIONS 1: SENTENCES AND PARAGRAPHS WITH ESSENTIAL STUDY SKILLS, and PROGRESSIONS 2: PARAGRAPHS AND ESSAYS WITH ESSENTIAL STUDY SKILLS. A frequent presenter at regional and national professional conferences, Barbara often conducts workshops for writing teachers.
