Gregory H. Watson is a former executive with Hewlett-Packard, Compaq Computer and Xerox. He established his consulting business in 1994 and has performed major consultancies with Nokia Mobile Phones, ExxonMobil, Toshiba, and businesses throughout all major regions in the world. He is a Past-President and Honorary Member of the International Academy for Quality, a Past-President and Honorary Member of the American Society for Quality and a past-Senior Vice President and Fellow of the Institute for Industrial Engineers. Mr. Watson was the first non-Japanese to receive the W. Edwards Deming Medal from the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) in 2009 and he has also received the senior awards of the American Society for Quality (Distinguished Service Medal, Kaoru Ishikawa Medal, E. Jack Lancaster Medal and Philip B. Crosby Medal), the European Organization for Quality (Georges Borel Medal) and the American Productivity & Quality Center (C. Jackson Grayson Medal). He has been elected an Honorary Member of eighteen national professional quality organizations and published over 600 papers and videos on subjects related to benchmarking, quality, strategic management, and continual improvement.
