Len Wilson

Leonard A. "Len" Wilson has spent his life telling the story of Jesus, and the last few years realizing how much of it he'd told from a distance. Jesus is not a means to a better life but life itself; we are made to abide in him, not use him. That thread runs through More Like Jesus, his twelve-book walk through Mark, and Story Study, his method for reading Scripture from inside it.

Len has served large church staffs, ran a ministry for thousands of churches, and was Senior Acquisitions Editor at Abingdon Press. He has written or co-written 13 books and directed dozens of films. Beneath the craft lies a hunger to move past information about God into his presence. He is Executive Director of Invite Ministries and Publisher of Invite Press.

A McMurry graduate, he holds an MA from United Theological Seminary and a D.Min. in semiotics and future studies from Portland Seminary after master's work at U. Penn's Annenberg School. Married since 1991, he is still learning what it means to abide.
