Elisabeth Jay

Elisabeth Jay, who lives in Oxford, has wide interests in the Victorian period. Her books include a literary biography of Margaret Oliphant and editions of biographies, autobiographies and novels by a number of Victorian women writers. She has also written various books on nineteenth-century literature and religion. She is the co-general editor of a 25 volume series of Selected Works of Margaret Oliphant. Her next book, British Writers and Paris 1830-1875 will be published in January 2016.
