Marty Norman

Marty Norman is an author, free-lance writer, licensed therapist, inspirational speaker, workshop trainer, mother of two, and grandmother of five. Her book "Generation G - Advice for Savvy Grandmothers Who Will Never Go Gray" was published in March 2008. When asked about being a grandmother, she enthusiastically responds, "Being a grandmother is the best - it's the only thing in life that is not overrated!" On her speaking tours she loves meeting so many amazing grandmothers and hearing their stories.

In addition to writing which, next to her family, is her love and passion, Marty was a therapist for ten years dealing with women's issues, drug and alcohol addiction, play and art therapy, grief issues, and journaling. She worked for a number of years for the Tarrant Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse as an educator and PR director.

Marty loves snow, a beautiful sunrise, hiking in the mountains, and playing with her grandchildren. A good day for her is to be present and available to whoever and whatever comes into her path. She loves God, family, and country and is not ashamed to claim it.
