I received the B.S. degree from Northeastern University and the Sc.M. and Ph.D. degrees from Brown University, all in physics. I have taught mathematics and physics at several colleges and universities including University of Minnesota, Northeastern University, University of Tampa and University of South Florida. I have also done research for Litton Industries, United Technologies, and NASA, where I developed the theoretical model for the first pressure gauge sent to the moon.
* My best selling kindle book is How to Solve Physics Problems. First published in 1997 this book just keeps selling and selling.
* Physics for the Utterly Confused, first piblished in 1999 is oriented to the non-calculus student.
* Calculus for the Utterly confused was also first published in 1999 and is in second edition.
* The Easy Way to Higher Grades, first published in 1976, was initially sold through college bookstores and display ads. Recently revised, this traditional best seller is now available on kindle at a very attractive price.
You might wonder why a physics prof. would write a book on how to study.
Very early in teaching I realized that many of my students did not know how to study efficiently so began giving study hints as part of my lectures. Students who had graduated began to tell me that the best thing they learned in my courses was how to study and urged me to write down what I had told them. This was the beginning of the book.
Reviews of all the books as well as teaching problems and audio-visual tutorials in physics and mathematics are available on my website www.rdoman.com
