David Veerman

Born in Chicago and raised in Rockford, Illinois, Dave received his B.A. from Wheaton College and his M.Div. from Trinity Evangelical School.

Dave worked for 26 years with Youth for Christ both in the Campus Life ministry in Illinois and Louisiana, and at YFC headquarters as the national campus life director. He has authored 60 books, including "Youth Evangelism," "Reaching Out to Troubled Youth," "Dave's Complete Guide to Junior High Ministry," "From Dad with Love," "Getting Your Kid to Talk," "How to Apply the Bible," "Parenting Passages," "Tough Parents for Tough Times," "Understanding Your Teenager," and "When Your Father Dies--How a Man Deals with the Death of His Father." In addition, he was one of the senior editors of the "Life Application Study Bible" and was the senior editor of the "Student's Life Application Bible."

Dave is a founding partner in The Livingstone Corporation, a company that helps produce books, Bibles, and other resources for a wide variety and number of publishers.

Dave also presents Understanding Your Teenager seminars across the country.

Dave and his wife, Gail, live in Naperville, Illinois, and are active in Naperville Presbyterian Church. They have two grown daughters, Dana and Kara, and one granddaughter.
