Karim Valji

Karim Valji, MD, is Professor of Radiology and Chief of Interventional Radiology (IR) at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has been active in academic IR for more than two decades. He has authored more than 80 publications and given more than 250 invited lectures in the field. He is particularly recognized for his work on thrombolysis and dialysis access interventions. Dr. Valji served as Associate Editor of the American Journal of Roentgenology and as editor-in chief of the Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. The two editions of his previous textbook (Vascular and Interventional Radiology) have become standard works in the field.
