Christopher Hallowell

Christopher Hallowell, a writer of various genres, is the author and/or editor of seven books that range from investigative journalism to memoir to profile. Beneficiaries of Deceit is his first work of fiction, partially inspired by unknown ruins he was introduced to in the Peruvian jungle when he lived in that country. He has been on the staffs of numerous magazines as an environmental or science editor and writer and has contributed articles to many magazines including Time, The New York Times Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, and The American Scholar. A professor of journalism at Baruch College (CUNY), he is a graduate of Harvard and received an MS in journalism from Columbia University.
